ExistenWHAT?!

It occurs to me that I've been busy lately.
1) Busy running around(the block, the private track of the convent next door).
2) To see gallery openings (Phaz Gallery on Milwaukee)
product launches (shawnimals new DIY Plushform at Rotofugi http://www.shawnimals.com/
3) theater (The Strangerer at Theater Oobleck, http://www.theateroobleck.com/)-because, who doesn't love some French Existentialism + the 2004 Presidential Debates? (Not I says The Little Red Hen)
4) old/new eateries (illustrating and painting at various cafes with a good friend)
5) work
6) DATES
7) appointments (we'll chat about the Womens Health Center on Sheffield next week)
8) and even to leisure time.

From the moment I wake up my mind is busy, my body is busy, and then at the end of the day I'm busy going to bed.

The funny thing is, this is only the beginning! (What makes me feel so busy is that I'm constantly thinking, investigating and analyzing the past, present and future).

Along with this, I'm off to plan a wonderful two-three week trip around the midwest! (I surmise the entry for that cometh soon!)

Personal Success

I'll be updating this portion/entry frequently with a listing of accomplishments. Why? Because, when you're a self conscious little Mary, each one is like stepping on the crest of a mountain and screaming "YAWP!"*

Last week:

1. Cat sitted for the first time. It was great! (Though, I realized that I do not want a cat).
2. Began exercising. (This is HUGE).
3. Gave my phone number to someone I was interested in. (First time in the history of my 23 years).
4. Was assertive about the importance of my birthday

This past week:

1. I allowed myself to enjoy going out and connecting with someone
(Second date from Last Week #3. Also, have a dating phobia).
1a. Handled this date turning badly, well.
1b. Gave him "what for", stood up for myself, and did the right thing.
2. Single handedly defused multiple panic attacks
3. Road Metra and went some place new
4. Passed with flying colors fears I had about my job
5. Started running OUTSIDE! (Where people can see me...)
6. Obtained my grant money for my research/studio trip from the school. (will talk about this more in-depth soon).

...welcome back back back

A Letter of Introduction:

Dear Mr. Or Miss,

The time has come to introduce you to Miss Mary Mack. She has come under my acquaintance some years ago while caravaning across the Mojave desert. Not a better travel companion, fellow adventurer or confidant will you find, Or. (Did I mention I almost didn't escape from the cannibals? 'Tis a good thing she was there to mediate, enlightening the poor fellows about vegetables).

Miss M promises adventures across the midwest, reflections on awareness and new experiences. She looks splendid in a gown at the Opera, and will race you to any card catalog.

She appreciates any witty discourse, jaunty comment, or new recipe.

Just get to know her Or, and you'll fancy her. I promise!

Until Ascot,

~Sincerely Yours
